Walk a Mile in Her Shoes: The International March to Stop Rape, Sexual Assault & Gender Violence

Walk a Mile in Her Shoes®, The International March to Stop Rape, Sexual Assault & Gender Violence, is an opportunity for communities to raise awareness about the series causes and effects of domestic violence and sexual assault. Walk a Mile asks participants to throw on a pair of heels and see how it feels to "be in her shoes." It's not easy to walk in those shoes, but it's a fun way to bring the community together around a something that is really difficult to discuss, understand, and ultimately prevent.

This year a team comprised of young Women from the Fairfield area that have been affected, or know someone who has been affected by this type of violence, are raising money that will benefit The Center for Family Justice in Bridgeport.

Join Team 'Red Stilettos' on Thursday April 17th from 6 to 9pm at The Field Restaurant (3001 Fairfield Ave Bridgeport, CT 06605) in Black Rock as they host "Heels for Hope" a Happy Hour fundraising event that will raise money and awareness.

With door prizes, a 50/50 raffle and food generously provided by The Field Restaurant this event is sure to be both fun and informative! Suggested $10 donation at the door
