Fairfield Bank Raises Over $6,500 for Ann's Place

Twenty-seven people representing Fairfield County Bank and Fairfield County Bank Insurance Services participated in the Amber Room Run from the Sun 5K on August 21, 2014. Participants included employees and family members of the Bank. Fairfield County Bank was the top fundraising team as they earned over $6,500 for Ann’s Place. The combined fundraising total of all teams was $14,000.

Donna Defreitas, Account Manager of Personal Lines for Fairfield County Bank Insurance Services, has personal experience with Ann’s Place which inspired her to get involved with the event. “I’d like to thank everyone who came out and showed their support for this event. Our team raised over $6,700 and won first prize for the team that raised the most money.  This year was a record turnout for the event, raising over fourteen thousand dollars overall.  We all had a great time throughout the event. I hope everyone can come out again next year,” said Donna.

Ann’s Place is located in Danbury, CT and has provided support to hundreds of people living with cancer throughout Connecticut and the Lower Hudson Valley. Their mission is to provide comfort, support and resources to people living with cancer and to their loved ones. The Amber Room Run from the Sun 5k took place at the Amber Room in Danbury, CT.  All proceeds from the event benefit the support services of Ann's Place.
