Two Ensembles Combine in One Concert

(November 26, 2013 - HamletHub News Service) - Two performing groups at Western Connecticut State University (Westconn) are combining in a free concert on December 2, according to the university.

BEATS, VOICES JOIN FORCES

The concert features two well-known area groups: the WCSU Percussion Ensemble, conducted by Dr. David Smith, performing with the WCSU Chamber Singers, directed by Dr. Kevin Jay Isaacs. Both groups have their own followings, so this combined concert is expected to bring fans of each group to enjoy one evening's performance.

MONDAY NIGHT MUSIC

Westconn's Midtown Campus on 181 White Street in Danbury will host this concert on Monday evening, December 3, 2013, beginning at 8PM in the Charles Ives Concert Hall located in the White Hall classroom and concert building.

There is no admission charge and the public is invited. Free will donations will be accepted to support the WCSU Department of Music.

For more information, call the Westconn music department at 203-837-8350.
