Great Music and World Records You Won't Want to Miss this Weekend

Bethel Arts Music Presents Studio Rio Sunday, March 1st from 2 pm to 4 pm. Featuring a lively and talented group of musicians. Featuring Rith Alhers on saxophone, Rick Baumer on electric guitar, Joe Carter on acoustic guitar, Frank Brocklehurst on bass, Parker Hu on percussion and voice, and Jerrod Cattey on drums.

The event will be held at the Bethel Historical Society located at 40 Main Street, in the 1842 2nd Meeting House. Admission is $10 fro adults, $5 for college students, and children 18 under are free. This is a B.Y.O.B. event for those over 21. 

According to Bethel Arts Music, this series is a month performance series featuring awesome local professional and student musicians. We welcome you to grab a coffee (or a beer) an come check out our performance. Click here to view next month's concert.

Push Ups For a Purpose

Presented by Training for Warriors Connecticut, this event is to benefit the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund which provides support to families tackling childhood cancer. Sunday, March 1st TFWConnecticut as well as affiliated from around the world will be coming together to break the Guinness World Record of Most People Performing Push Ups in Multiple Venues at the Exact Same Minute in Time.

This will all be to benefit the Jay Fund. Registration is at 11 am and the official event start time is set for 12:31 pm. The event will be held at Gymnastics revolution located at 14 Starrr Road, Danbury CT. Participants are not required to participate in the push up event, but cheer leading and supporting the event is more than welcome, it's encouraged!

There will be other activities and food provided at the event. So bring the family to help fight this worthy cause. Donations can also be made by clicking here.
