Author Stan Wien to Speak at Bethel Public Library

The Bethel Public Library is pleased to host local author Stan Wien on Wednesday December 9, 6:30-7:30 pm. Mr. Wien is an experienced negotiator and a student of the life of Theodore Roosevelt, and in his recently published book, Ambassador for Peace: How Theodore Roosevelt Won the Nobel Peace Prize, he brought his expertise and interests to bear. In this talk he will reveal how Roosevelt used his mediation and diplomatic skills to end the Russo-Japanese War and become the first American to win the Nobel Prize. This talk covers a fascinating and little-known piece of history that will be of interest to adults and teens alike.
