Taste of Greater Danbury Celebrates its 30th Year with the Platinum Band Everclear Performing

Many of you secretly carry a small bottle of Cholula hot sauce in your pocket, or some tarter, or a bit of salt and pepper, but you won't need to do that at the Taste of Greater Danbury, where the sauce, the Downtown sizzle, and your own gastronomic confidence will celebrate 30 years of Tasting great food, music, and family fun this September. This year’s Taste of Greater Danbury will be held on Saturday, September 10th, noon to 10:00pm, and Sunday, September 11th, noon to 7:00pm, on the CityCenter Green (at Ives Street). Hosted by CityCenter Danbury, the City's official close to summer promises trendy food trucks, beer on site, familiar locals like Gallucci’s, Romy’s BBQ, Two Steps Downtown Grille, and The Ice Cream Guy, and on stage, recording artists Everclear.  Admission is free.

Certified platinum, Everclear last year released a ninth winning studio album entitled Black is the New Black. The Band will perform on Saturday at 8:00 pm and Sunday at 2 pm.  Danbury’s New Rock Alternative, 103.7 FM, is the media sponsor for the Band.

For the kids, Ives Street will be a place to play with bouncy inflatables, curious critters, and other play-full experiences. In all, it's a culinary and musical blast. And with 30 years behind it, its one of the biggest and best Tastes in the greater Danbury region.

CityCenter programs and events are supported, in part, by Union Savings Bank, Savings Bank of Danbury, Danbury Cultural Commission, Danbury Parking Authority, and Frontier Communications. . For more information about Taste of Greater Danbury, sponsorship opportunities, and other events, call (203) 792 1711 or visit citycenterdanbury.com
