One Time Showing of Bitch at Bethel Cinema Tomorrow

"Bitch" on screen at 7:00pm on Wednesday, February 22 at Bethel Cinema

A stray dog from the alleyways of New Delhi finds itself transported to Sweden, where she is thrust into a series of interactions with some pretty colorful people. And in the end, perhaps there's a reason life brought her there.

Director’s Statement:
The filmic experience is both immersive and highly subjective, and eschewed in the way that we are asked to go on a journey with one or several characters. I was intrigued by the notion of doing just this, through the direct point-of-view of a single character, a dog. To see the world from a creature's perspective where basically everything and everyone is bigger than us, and yet, being subject to people's expectations of what a dog is supposed to be, I wanted to see if we could study ordinary people's behaviour through the eyes of man´s best friend. This is a journey through a single character's perspective, and a study of form and character. I hope you enjoy it.

Director’s Bio:
Born 1984. Swedish-Hungarian-American. Written, directed and produced over 20 shorts. Awarded "New Nordic Voices Award" 2007 for "The Walk", "Best Feature Film" and "Best Director" at Miskolc Film Festival 2007, "Best Director" and "Best Short Film" for "21" at The Clearwater Film & Music Film Festival 2011, nominated for "Startsladden" 2009 at Gothenburg International Film Festival for "Straw". Working as editorial columnist at Swedish evening newspapers GT and Kvällsposten in Sweden.
