Get ready to celebrate this year’s bountiful crop of juicy-red locally grown strawberries at next Sunday’s home-town Strawberry Festival! From 1-4pm, the New Fairfield Senior Center Parking lot (33 Route 39) will be the site of the annual Festival, sponsored by Preserve New Fairfield Inc. Homemade whipped cream, golden shortcakes, luscious berries, and tons of fun will be served up by members of PNF.
Enjoy the local crafts, visit the Hubbell House Museum, nibble on a chocolate covered strawberry, or pick up shortcake to bring home for dessert – takeout is available!
A favorite of the festival are the bountiful raffle baskets, with prizes for adults and children, include gift certificates for local shops and goodies. The event is not to be missed!
