Third Annual Lantern Parade Steps Off in Newtown on Saturday

The Third Annual Lantern Parade steps off this Saturday, September 30 at 7 pm. It starts at the Cochran House parking lot, at Fairfield Hills on Mile Hill South. The parade is part of the Newtown Arts festival and is sponsored by the Newtown Cultural Arts Commission.

The event is free.

Bring a lantern you made on your own or at the two day Newtown Arts festival or we’ll have one for you. “It’s time to light up the night,” said parade chair Terry Sagedy.
