Bethel Alumni Pitches for the Red Sox and More Bethel School News

Dear Parents, Care Givers, and Community Members:

Congratulations to Bethel Alumni, Matt Barnes, Class of 2008! Matt was called up to majors by the Boston Red Sox. Matt has joined the Boston Red Sox’s roster as a relief pitcher. Matt pitched against the first place Baltimore Orioles. In three innings of relief he gave up no runs, striking out two, walking none, and allowing three hits. His fast ball hit 95 miles per hour during this appearance.
Congratulations Matt!

In addition, we are honored that our Bethel High School student, Nicki Shaner-Bradford was selected as a student representative on the State Board of Education. Nicki will provide student voice to educational issues that come to the State Board of Education. We are honored that she has been selected to serve.

We want thank all of our parents for the tremendous turn out for our Open Houses. We appreciate you
taking the time to further understand our district and school goals, vision and purpose, and curriculum expectations to support your children at home to maximize their school experience. We also appreciate your support of the routines and procedures to ensure the school day runs efficiently. As our mission statement indicates, we strive to be a premiere school district and this was evident in all of the strengths our system has to offer our students. We are committed to working as a team with families to ensure that all of our children receive the highest quality of education.
