Bethel Board of Education Says Farewell to Longtime Board Member

Mr. Stuart Carlsen, has been on the Bethel Board of Education for 15 years. Mr. Carlsen has recently resigned from the Board. He was honored last week as he retires from the Bethel Board of Education. Stuart has made individual and collective contributions to the Bethel community through his participation and actions through his membership in the Board of Education.

In the true “Bethel Way” the Bethel is a community which has a long history of embracing change and are truly committed to a culture of continuous community improvement.

Mr. Carlsen was recognized for modeling the “The Bethel Way” through his many contributions to the improvement of the Bethel community among which include his contributions to the strong leadership from our Board of Education. This year the Board has again earned the Distinguished Board of Education Award – Level II from the Connecticut Association of Boards of Education. They were among only a small handful of Boards to be recognized with this distinction. Their leadership, dedication, and tireless support of our schools enables all of us to do the work we need to do. We thank Mr. Carlsen for his many years of service to the Bethel community.
