The Danbury Music Centre announces the annual availability of the Deming Family Music Scholarship to be awarded in August to a deserving college student majoring music. Mary Deming and her husband, the late Robert Deming, have funded this scholarship as an expression of their deep appreciation for the philosophy, the programs, and the contributions of the Danbury Music Centre to the Deming family and to music lovers in the greater Danbury area.
A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a student majoring in music at an accredited college or university who is entering his/her junior or senior year in college or is a graduate student. Students from Danbury and surrounding towns are invited to apply. Special consideration will be given to those who are or have been participants in the programs of the Danbury Music Centre.
