Due to Limited Rainfall Bethel is Asking Residents to Restrict Water Usage

The Bethel Utilities Department, in its continued commitment to supplying quality water to the residents of Bethel, is requesting a mandatory water restriction in order to conserve water supply during the unusual warm weather conditions and lack of rainfall.

A VOLUNTARY RESTRICTION on the amount of outside water use is being put into place. This plan applies to washing cars, watering flowers, and other non essential outside uses.

The Town is requesting that users adhere to an Odd / Even Water Conservation Plan.

• An Odd/ Even watering plan allows for properties with an even street number to water on the even days of the month and the same for odd street numbers to water on the odd days of the month.

AUTOMATIC SPRINKLERS: Any property with an automatic sprinkling system is required to operate only during the non-peak hours between 11:00 pm to 4:00 am.

The Bethel Utilities Department appreciates your understanding and patience regarding this water restriction issue. Any question can be answered by the Public Works Department by calling 203-794- 8549.
