Position Available: Part Time Library Assistant for Children’s Services, average 13 hrs/wk, including evenings & weekends.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required with some formal computer training, office or library experience strongly preferred. Familiarity with children’s services, reference resources in all formats, automated integrated library systems and online searching including the Internet are preferred. Library experience highly desirable.
Job Description:
Creative and energetic person to assist the Children’s Librarian with various duties in the Children’s Library. These include conducting story hours and other Children’s programs and preparing publicity for same, providing reference assistance to children and adults, assisting with selection and processing of library materials, and supervising the Children’s Library operation in the absence of the Children’s Librarian. EOE/M/F/V/D
$17.18 per hour
