The Town of Bethel announced that it is participating in a statewide program designed to help interested residents decide if solar power is right for them. Bethel homeowners can install solar on their homes at discounted rates with a town-selected installer, Ross Solar, through March 9, 2018. Solarize Bethel is part of Solarize Connecticut -- the residential solar program managed by the non-profit organization, SmartPower. To date, Solarize Connecticut has provided information that has helped thousands of Connecticut residents make the switch to residential solar power.
The Town's Energy Conservation Committee, in partnership with Solarize Bethel and its installer, Ross Solar, will conduct a free workshop on Thursday, November 16th from 7 pm to 8:30 pm in Room A at Clifford Hurgin Municipal Center at 1 School Street in Bethel to help residents determine if solar power might be right for their home. At the workshop, residents can learn about the Solarize Bethel program, learn about the improvements in solar technology and learn differences between leasing and purchasing panels.
