Danbury, Conn. – Musicals at Richter (MaR), now in its 30th season and the longest-running outdoor theater in Connecticut, continues its 2014 season with "The Wizard of Oz." Staged on the grounds of the Richter Arts Center, 100 Aunt Hack Road, in Danbury, performances take place outdoors under the stars.

The remaining performances are August 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, 9.

Grounds open at 7:15 p.m. for picnicking, with the show at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors and students and $10 for children under 10. For Thursday performances, tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and students and $5 for children under 10.

Group rates and chair rentals are available. A snack and soft drink concession is on site.

Performances are given outdoors under the stars where audience members can bring food and drink to picnic on lawn chairs and blankets before and while they watch the show!
