Helen Baker: Bethel Resident & Former St. Mary's Choir member passes away at 77

Helen Baker, age 77 of Bethel, CT died Wednesday August 27, 2014 in Danbury Hospital. She is the widow of James M. Baker.

Helen was born November 27, 1936 in Danbury, CT a daughter of the late John and Alfreida (Drozd) Bielaczyc. She was employed by several area companies as a secretary/accountant in the construction and manufacturing industries. Helen was a member of the Sound Tiger's Booster Club, Bridgeport, CT, the Grassy Plain Drum Corp, Bethel, CT, the Arron Singing Society, New Milford, CT and a former member of the St. Mary's Church Choir, Bethel, CT.

Helen is survived by her children John Baker and Elizabeth Baker both of Bethel, CT; her brother John Bielaczyc Jr, Danbury, CT and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends in the Bethel Funeral Home 215 Greenwood Ave, Bethel, CT on Tuesday September 2, 2014 from 6 until 9 pm with a prayer service at 8:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to CT Chapter 2075 Silas Deane Highway Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
