Elizabeth S. Hanna

Elizabeth S. Hanna, 94, of Bethel, wife of the late John J. Hanna died on Saturday, December 13, 2014 in Madison, CT.

Affectionately known as “Betty”, Mrs. Hanna was born in Brooklyn, NY, October 29, 1920, a daughter of Anibal and Josephine (Busto) Garcia. She attended NY schools.

An area resident since 1947 coming from Brooklyn, Mrs. Hanna was a homemaker, enjoyed sewing and was a member of St. George Antiochian Orthodox Ladies Society of Danbury.

Mrs. Hanna is survived by a son, John J. Hanna II of Bethel; a daughter, Susan C. Leonard of Clinton, CT; two grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 10 a.m. in Saint Margaret Roman Catholic Church, 24 Academy St., Madison, CT.

Burial will take place in Wooster Cemetery, Danbury on Thursday at 3:00 p.m.

There will be no calling hours.
