Korean War Veteran, Frank Streeter, Passes at 84

Frank Wilbur Streeter, 84, a resident of Waterbury, CT formerly of Wingdale, NY died on Monday, March 23, 2015 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington, CT. He was a delivery man for the New York Times for many years and also worked for D & S Plumbing Supply in Brewster, NY

Born on October 30, 1930 in Fitzwilliam, NH he was the son of the late Elliott and Saddie (Blair) Streeter. His wife, Gilda Streeter predeceased him on July 10, 2006. Mr. Streeter proudly served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.

Mr. Streeter is survived by three sons, Frank W. Streeter and his wife, Patricia of Bethel, CT, Dale Streeter and his wife, Tina of Castleton, NY and Todd Streeter of Dade City, FL; a daughter, Tina Johns and her husband, Brian of Waterbury, CT; a step-son, Ricky Humiston and his wife Margaret of South Carolina and five step-daughters, Tina Blakeley and her husband, Daniel of Warrensburg, NY, Elaine and Merleann Humiston both of Wingdale, NY, Cindy Kilcran and her husband, Teddy of Ridgefield, CT and Pamela Tracey and her husband, Larry of New Milford, CT. He is also survived by his former wife, Normal Ballantine of Dade City FL, twenty-six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 27, 2015 at the funeral home. Burial will military honors will follow at Valley View Cemetery in Dover Plains, NY.
