Bethel Resident, Linda Schwartz, Passes at 67

Linda M. (Haitsch) Schwartz, age 67 of Bethel died on Monday at the Saint Pope John Paul II Center, Danbury following a two year battle with cancer.

Linda was born January 7, 1948 in Evansville, Indiana, the daughter of Aurel J. Haitsch Jr., of Bethel and the late Margaret L. (Humphrey) Haitsch. She was raised and educated in Bethel and was an area resident until moving to Fort Lauderdale, FL in 1980. She returned to live in Bethel in 2005. Linda was employed as a waitress, most recently at the Sycamore Drive In, Bethel.

In addition to her father with whom she made her home, Linda is survived by her daughter Jennifer Schwartz-Renkert and her husband Tyler of Newtown, her brother Aurel J. Haitsch III of  Atlanta, GA, her uncle Richard Haitsch of Buford, SC, and three grandchildren, Olivia, Maya, and Grayson Renkert. Linda was predeceased by her longtime companion, David Lerchey, formerly of the Del Vikings.

Funeral Information

The family will receive friends at a memorial gathering on Thursday March 26th from 5 thru 8 pm at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury.
