Local Artist Opens Barn for Art Show

Contemporary artist Liz Mullins, whose colorful paintings have appeared on “Orange Is the New Black” and “Happyish,” will show and sell her work the weekend of May 29 at her 15th Annual Open Studio Art Show.

The public is welcome to browse paintings, collages, drawings, sculptures and diorama in the studio--located in Mullins’ barn at 50 Browns Forge Road, Gaylordsville, CT. The show will also feature works by artist John Butler.

The weekend-long sale begins with an opening celebration from 7 to 10 p.m. on Friday, May 29, featuring live music performances from Becky Kessler, Scott Daly, and loom.

On May 30 and 31, the studio will open from 1 to 6 p.m.

Parking will be available at 48 Browns Forge Road.
