Joan Julia (Foshay)Dobrouch, 82, of Bethel CT, formerly of East Hampton, CT passed away peacefully at Bethel Health Care on May 23, 2015. She was born on February 21, 1933 in Danbury, CT daughter of the late Frederick Foshay Sr and Evelyn (Lattin) Foshay. Joan is predeceased by her late husband Robert F. Dobrouch Sr.
Joan is survived by her daughters Linda Belansky (Paul), and Ann Marie Scacco, (Robert), of Bethel, CT and son Robert F. Dobrouch Jr. (Virginia), of East Hampton, CT. Joan is also survived by her grandchildren, Paul Belansky Jr. (Tara), from Sebastian FL, Michele Belansky, Bethel, CT, Michael Belansky, Vero Beach FL, Janice Anderson (Michael), Bethel, CT, Robert M Scacco (Sarah) Seymour,CT, Rebecca Dobrouch and Robert Dobrouch III, East Hampton, CT. Also her Great- Grandchildren, John Paul, Bailey Ann, Ivy, Elliot and Bobby. Joan was predeceased by her five brothers Frederick, Robert, Edward, Burton and Raymond Foshay and her sisters Carol Sears and Evelyn Foshay. In addition Joan is survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Joan and Bob spent their early years in the Danbury area before moving to East Hampton CT where they spent many happy years living on the lake. After retiring from Cobalt Lodge as a CNA Joan spent her retirement years in Maine where she enjoyed her many cousins. Joan and her husband were active in the SNYRA Danbury Racearina and were avid Nascar fans. Joan was a warm loving woman whose home was open to all. She was a Nanny to everyone. Loved by all.
