Inspired Learning recognized as ‘Program Partner of the Year’ for workforce training

Inspired Learning LLC of Bethel has been recognized by the regional workplace development board that serves Southwest Connecticut for the company’s contributions to a program that helps the long-term unemployed.

Hilda Maria Valdespino, the founder and president of Inspired Learning, accepted the award for Program Partner of the Year at the June 23 ceremony in Bridgeport. Valdespino has worked with The WorkPlace, Inc for over three years to provide training and support to their clients seeking employment in the healthcare field as part of the HealthCareeRx Academy.

Inspired Learning works one-on-one with clients to prepare resumes, cover letters and develop strong 30-second pitches for interviews. They also provide a full-day program on social media, networking tools and building confidence in their job search efforts.

“I started Inspired Learning to provide employees in healthcare with the necessary soft skills to succeed in their organizations,” Valdespino said. “I quickly became familiar with the work of local workforce boards in employee development. I designed the Inspired Learning ‘Journey to Work’ program and expanded my business portfolio to assist individuals transitioning into healthcare with the necessary skills they need to succeed in landing a healthcare position. Partnering with The WorkPlace, Inc. has been a win-win for The Workplace, Inspired Learning and most of all for workers looking to find their next job in healthcare.”

Ashley McGuffie, director of the Health Care Rx Academy, said Valdespino earned the recognition by helping numerous participants learn the skills necessary to re-enter the workplace.

“For the past two years Inspired Learning has demonstrated outstanding commitment to the Health CareeRx Academy by providing students with exceptional professionalism, compassion, customer service and reliability as a workshop facilitator and resume coach,” McGuffie said. “Hilda not only facilitates Job Search Strategies workshops but also provides one-on-one resume development and job-search coaching to students in a professional and responsive manner. Hilda is also consistently available to offer customized support, advice and assistance to Academy staff and our participants.”

Inspired Learning, in addition to employment training, offers corporate services that include team building, transition management, and analysis of communication styles. The company also works with high school students and current or recent college graduates to build interpersonal communication skills that will allow them to succeed in the workplace and during the job-search process.

The Workplace, Inc. administers workforce development funds and coordinates providers of job training and education programs. Regionally, it works with business leaders, local officials and other stakeholders to develop innovative workforce development plans.
