Toni Boucher is an Honorary Chairperson at AKC's Meet the Breeds Event on Saturday

Connecticut State Senator Toni Boucher is an Honorary Chairperson at the American Kennel Club’s annual Meet the Breeds event, to be held this Saturday, February 14th.

“I am honored to join other elected officials for this cause and thank the AKC for the work it does in promoting responsible dog ownership in America.” said Sen. Boucher.

The AKC Meet the Breeds event, presented jointly by the Westminster Kennel Club and the American Kennel Club, gives attendees the opportunity to interact with over 100 different breeds, and offers a valuable educational experience on pet ownership and selecting the right breed for you. Founded in 1877, the Westminster Kennel Club is devoted to raising awareness on canine health and wellbeing and the rights of pet owners, and works alongside numerous charities including the Red Cross, AKC Humane Fund, AKC Companion Animal Rescue, and the Canine Health Foundation among numerous others and has funded more than $1 million in veterinary school scholarships. the American Kennel Club was founded in 1844 and maintains the largest purebreed registry in the world and oversees tens of thousands of canine competitions every year.
