Bethel Town & School Budgets Pass - Concerns Over State Budget Continue

Budget Update - Both the Town and Education Budgets passed!

In this week's Bethel Public Schools newsletter, Superintendent Christine Carver thanked all who came out to vote for supporting the Bethel community. Carver continues to express concern regarding the State of Connecticut's budget. "While news of the passing of the Town’s budget was positive, we still have not learned what the effects of the proposed state budget cuts will be and the impact on the education of the children of Bethel," she says.

Carver reminds residents that the local local delegation of Senators and Representatives will be conducting a town meeting to discuss the impact of the state issues locally.  "It is an opportunity for parents and community members to express their viewpoints and ask questions," she says.

The Legislative Town Hall Meeting & State Budget Update will take place on  Tuesday, April 25th, 7 – 8:30 PM in the Bethel Municipal Center General Purpose Room. "I would strongly encourage you to attend the session," says Carver.
