Connecticut's Beautiful Baby Winner

2-year-old Rylee Everetts of Seymour won the 2017 Connecticut Beautiful Baby Photo Contest and will be featured in the Newtown Labor Day Parade in a chauffeur-driven convertible provided by Mercedes of Danbury.  Rylee was the first runner-up in last year’s contest.

The Connecticut Beautiful Baby Contest is a friendly competition that serves as a charitable fundraiser.  Rylee’s photo raised the most amount of money to be donated to Homes for Our Troops, a national nonprofit that builds totally handicap accessible homes for young military returning with life-altering injuries, at no cost to the soldiers.  Two Marines from Connecticut: Marine Staff Sergeant Liam Dwyer of Southbury, as well as Corporal Roger Rua of Naugatuck, are on the Homes for Our Troop’s waitlist.

If you wish to contribute to their homes, please visit https://www.hfotusa.org/  or call 866-787-6677 for more information.  Checks may be mailed to Homes for Our Troops; 6 Main St; Taunton, MA 02780.  Contributions may be earmarked for the Marines from Connecticut.

Congratulations to Rylee, and proud parents Ashley and Shane!
