Women's Club Championships at Redding Country Club

The 2014 Women's Club Championships were held at Redding Country Club between August 14th and August 21st.

The RCC 18 and 9 Hole Women's Club Championships - the most prestigious events of the women's golf season at the Redding Country Club – began on August 14th with a three-day competition for the 18-hole group. Separated into groups based on handicap, the pool of participants shrunk between the 14th and the 21st, as the teams got closer to winning the division.

Two of RCC's best women golfers - Donna Forshaw and Sharon Nightingale - qualified for the Championship with Forshaw emerging as the winner. In addition to the 36-hole stroke play, 18–holers could also take part in one day of stroke play in the First Flight. The First Flight was composed of four golfers, who played to determine the seedings. Debbie Boyle won the flight, defeating Kim Becker.

The 9-hole Championship, a single day competition, was held on Aug 21st. They too loved playing on the course on a warm August day. Like the 18-holers, every stroke changed the 9-holed golfers scores. Kerry Miserendino won the Gross stroke Play Championship and Ann Hauck won the Net Division.

The next Crystal Tournament is the Women's RCC Cup on September 13th. For more information about the Redding Country Club or the Club Championship, please contact:
