Closing Day of Wilton Farmers’ Market October 1st

Closing Day of Wilton Farmers’ Market

• October 1, 2014 12:30 pm to 5:00 pm

The Wilton Farmers’ Market will close its 2014 season at the Wilton Historical Society on Wednesday, October 1st.

Supported by the Wilton Chamber of Commerce and the Wilton Historical Society, the market takes place every Wednesday from 12:30-5pm, through October 1st. The market features picnic tables to encourage shoppers to “dine” at the market as well as entertainment and activities for children throughout the season.

The Wilton Farmers’ Market is comprised of local farmers and artisans who come together to provide shoppers a venue in which to purchase the best products from local vendors. Featured are local produce, baked goods, and other goodies from Ambler Farm, Gazy Brothers Farm, Carrot Top Kitchens, Dough & Co., Bistro du Soleil, Darling Farm, Bounty Food Truck (featuring gourmet burgers and more) and Beldotti Breads – to name just a few. A variety of local crafters and artisans, including Anita Designs, Nutmeg Candle, Fairfield Seaglass and Three Bluebirds, will also be present each week.

The market also serves as a community gathering place to educate the public about eating locally and making nutritious, healthy food choices. Featured this year will be the CT Chapter of the Northeast Organic Farmers Association, (CT NOFA) and CT Clean Energy Options.

A website detailing the market’s dates, times, location (with map), parking information, 2014 vendors, seasonal menu planning and contact information is available at www.wiltonfarmersmarket.com.

Exhibitors who are interested in receiving more information or who wish to participate in the Wilton Farmers’ Market should contact the Wilton Chamber of Commerce’s Executive Director, Janeen Leppert, at info [at] wiltonchamber [dot] com or call 203.762.0567.
