New Tennis Camp at The Harvey School This Summer

The Harvey School announces it will host a tennis camp this summer on its six brand new hard courts expected to be completed by June. The tennis camp, PDP (Player Development Program), is an instructional program founded by former Saw Mill Club tennis pro Petar Kanev, who will offer instruction to children of all ages.

“Our program is committed to high performance in all areas, for all players regardless of their stage of development,” said Coach Kanev who will personally teach all the classes while maintaining a 4:1 student-teacher ratio with the help of his assistants. PDP’s curriculum is based on the five game situations and cover aspects of the game like biomechanics, dealing with ball bounce interpretation, movement patterns, shot selection for effective play, tennis fitness and more.

“Our mission is to help participants develop their tennis skills, improve performance and reach their potential, while recognizing and providing for their social, emotional and personal needs. We help players grow and develop as individuals, to win and to enjoy themselves on the court,” said Coach Kanev.

PDP is offering several five-day program options including half days, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., or 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., full day, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and a late afternoon session from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. An extended day option is also available.

The first weekly session starts June 29. The last session is the week of Aug.17.
