JULY 3 featuring works by the 2015 graduates from the WCSU Master of Fine Arts painting and illustration program, will be on display from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, on the fourth floor of the Blue Mountain Gallery, 530 W. 25th St. in New York City. An Opening Reception will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 18. The exhibition and reception will be free and open to the public. JUNE 26 RETIREMENT CELEBRATION: WCSU will host a celebration to honor the dedication and accomplishments of President James W. Schmotter upon his retirement as eighth president of the university at 6 p.m. at the Ethan Allen Hotel, 21 Lake Ave. Extension in Danbury. The public is invited.
