Bethel Public Library Invites Adults to Enjoy Book Discussions

The Bethel Public Library invites adults to meet and discuss books in a relaxed, friendly environment. There are good reasons to consider joining us: you'll meet new people, gain new insights, and discover that some books which you might not have chosen are really worth reading! And attendees tell us that they get much more out of a book once they talk about it with others.

Monthly Evening and Morning Book Discussions take place at the Library on a regularly scheduled Monday, 6:30-7:45 pm, and Wednesday, 10:15-11:30 am, typically during the last week of every month. Coming up this Fall, please join us to discuss The Boys in the Boat by Daniel James Brown on September 26 and 28; and The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson on October 24 and 26. The Library also offers Quarterly Classics Book Discussions on a Wednesday evening from 6:30 to 7:45 pm; please join us on September 14 to discuss Around the World in 80 Days by Jules Verne.

Its free and easy to participate in a Bethel Public Library book discussion. Free because theres no book to buy if you have a valid Connecticut library card. Books are usually available for checkout one month prior to the meeting. Easy because once youve read the book, just show up at the scheduled time and place--there's no need to register. If you have any questions, please call us at 794-8756 x4, or visit www.bethellibrary.org.

All programs sponsored by the Bethel Public Library are open to the public and meet accessibility requirements for the disabled. Those needing special accommodations must contact the Library at least two weeks prior to the program date.
