According to an article in Gawker yesterday, U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), was nearly hit by an incoming Amtrak train as he spoke about safety on the platform at the Milford Metro-North Station.
Watch the video. The train nearly takes out the Senator just as his colleague is saying, "Safety as you know is paramount."
