Bethel Budget of $26 Million Passes by 550 Votes

Bethel's town budget passed on Thursday after the fourth referendum was completed. The $26,693,369 budget will now be appropriated for the coming 2014-2015 fiscal year.

"Bethel budget passes by 550 votes," First Selectman Matt Knickerbocker happily announced yesterday. "Thank you Bethel!"

Of the four referendums, the one this past Thursday saw the largest turnout, an encouraging sign for local activism moving forward.
