Dan O'Grady Wins Primary for Judge of Probate

Voter turnout was very low yesterday, the Primary for Judge of Probate between Patrick Walsh and Dan O'Grady, a position serving the towns of Ridgefield, Redding, Bethel, and Newtown. According to the poll workers at one of the polling places in Ridgefield late yesterday, only about 10% of residents turned out to vote. Walsh was victorious in Ridgefield capturing 517 votes to Grady's 97. But, final tallies had O'Grady ahead by more than 400 votes.

O'Grady heads to the general election in November facing Democrat Sharon Dornfeld and independent, Jennifer Collins.

Late last night, Walsh posted on his campaign Facebook Page, "First and foremost congratulations to Dan O’Grady in his Primary victory. He ran a very good campaign and I wish him the best of luck in the General Election."

O'Grady posted on his campaign Facebook Page, "Thanks for your support everyone! Onward to the general election in November!"
