The Bethel, Redding and Ridgefield Community Emergency Response Volunteers (CERV) invites Bethel, Redding, & Ridgefield Residents, CERT, Local Agencies & Others to participate in the Annual All Hazard Emergency Response Refresher Training Event

POD Clinic Operations; Non clinical & Clinical roles, Dispensing of

Antibiotics. Set up, Operations, Clinic Break Down/Closure

Pharmacist Antibiotic Guidance

9:30 to 9:45

Break; Refreshments with Attendees

9:45 to 10:45

Communicating Successfully in Stressful Emotionally Charged Situations;

What Works in Stressful Situations to diffuse emotions and prevent conflict

escalation and violence. Social, Emotional and Behavioral Competencies

10:45 to 11:15

Just in time training for Clinical and Non Clinical volunteers – Briefing of roles

for Point of Dispensing Clinic Operation.

11:15 to 12:15

POD Role Playing Exercise: Staff & volunteers will come together to work at

their POD stations to do their assigned tasks to facilitate the dispensing of

medication as quickly & efficiently as possible to residents.

12:15 to 1:30 Working Lunch; Hotwash Discussion of Emergency POD Operation,

Question & Answer session, evaluation, program end
