Bethel man arrested for DWI following accident investigation

East Fishkill, New York - On July 20, 2015, New York State Police from the Stormville barracks arrested a man, 43 years old, of Bethel, Connecticut, for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, a Felony.
 
At approximately 11:40 a.m. on July 20th, Troopers responded to a one-car collision on the Taconic State Parkway in the Town of East Fishkill.  An investigation revealed that the Bethel man was traveling southbound and exited the roadway at the Interstate 84 exit ramp. He was charged with DWI when investigation revealed that he was intoxicated at the time of the crash. He was not injured as a result of the collision.
 
The operator provided a breath sample that yielded a Blood Alcohol Content of .30%, over three times the legal limit of intoxication.  He was arraigned before the Town of East Fishkill Court and remanded to Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $1,500 cash bail or $3,000 bond.  He is scheduled to return to the Town of East Fishkill Court on July 22, 2015 at 4:00 p.m.
 
The operator was charged with Felony Driving While Intoxicated when it was determined that he was convicted of a DWI in 2014.
