Early Morning Storms Knock Out Power in Bethel

If you weren't woken by this morning's early thunderstorms, consider yourself lucky. Many here in the local area heard the crashes and booms of a large thunderstorm passing through around 4am.

Most of the area was untouched, just leaving behind much need wet patches, however some people were and still are without power.

Local businesses, such a Molten Java, have claimed to be without power. Molten Java stated about an hour ago on their Facebook page that they are still without power. Some of the comments suggested that members of the Bethel community have power and are good to go. Nonetheless these summer storms are just another reminder that we should be prepared.

According to Eversource, only about 60 family-units are left without power in Bethel. Some trees were knocked down in the surrounding areas, pictures and details were posted on various twitter accounts. Luckily no one has been injured and power should be on soon.

Stay tuned for any further information or updates.
