Human Remains Found in Titicus Reservoir After Plane Crashes

This morning we posted about a small aircraft that lost contact with Danbury Airport at approximately 4:30 p.m yesterday. New York State Police Troop K said that they found debris from a 1971 Beechcraft in the Titicus Reservoir.

Divers from the New York State Police and Department of Environmental Protection searched the reservoir much of the day. Ridgefielders reported a lot of police activity on Rt. 116 in North Salem this afternoon.

The Journal News (LoHud) just reported (and we are waiting confirmation from DEP) that searchers located human remains and debris from the plane that they say crashed as it approached Danbury Airport.

They reported that Eric Horsa of Ridgefield, Connecticut, identified the pilot as his father, Val Horsa, of South Salem and his stepmother, Taew Horsa, a native of Thailand, also was on board plane.
