Brookfield PD Searching for Bank Robbery Suspect and Asking for Public's Help

Brookfield Police are investigating a robbery that occurred at the 828 Federal Road Branch of the Union Savings Bank. The robbery was reported to police at approximately 4:04 p.m. by bank personnel.

A lone white male, approximately 5'10" tall wearing a black, pull-over style hooded sweatshirt, a black knit cap, black sunglasses and a pulled-up black neck gaiter entered the bank carrying a black backpack and demanded money from the teller drawers. The suspect did not display any weapon or claim to be armed, but told tellers not call the police or they would be harmed.

The suspect fled the bank, on foot, through the parking lot heading towards the Brookfield Lanes. A Danbury Police Department K-9 Unit responded to assist Brookfield Police in tracking the suspect into the parking lots where the track was lost.

Witness reports indicate that the suspect entered the bank with his entire disguise on. Police are asking anyone who was in the 4 Corners area around 4 p.m., and might have seen anyone matching the description acting in a suspicious manner, to call Detective Michael Zezza at (203)775-2575.
