At approximately 11:41 pm on May 16, Bethel Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Turkey Plain Road (Route 53). Upon arrival, police observed the vehicle had crashed into a tree and caught fire.
The sole occupant and driver was still trapped inside the vehicle. Police and fire personnel contained the fire and were able to remove the individual from vehicle. The individual was transported to Danbury Hospital and was later declared deceased.
