Jay Prince & Friends Kicks off Summer Music Series ~ Brewster NY
The Brewster Summer Music Series (BSMS) is back and ready to bring the heat with a spectacular opening night performance by local bandleader Jay Prince and Friends! The 2025 season launches onWednesday, June 18 at 6:30 PM at the Gazebo at Southeast Veterans Park(corner of Railroad and Morningthorpe Avenues in Brewster Village).
Now in their third season with BSMS, Jay Prince and Friends are a powerhouse 9-piece band, led by dynamic lead guitarist and vocalist Jay Prince. Known for their high-energy blend of Funk, Rock, and R&B, the group features some of NYC’s top touring and session musicians. Whether lighting up stages at venues like Daryl’s House and Uncle Cheef’s or thrilling fans at community festivals, Jay Prince delivers soulful performances packed with familiar hits and feel-good vibes.
“Jay Prince and Friends are a true crowd-pleaser — they pack the lawn every time they play,” said Katy Faivre, program coordinator for BSMS. “We’re honored to have them open our season again this year.”
This year’s concert experience will be bigger and better than ever, with food and ice cream trucks, community tables, sponsor tents, and a lively 50/50 raffleeach week. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and picnics — and enjoy a relaxed evening of live music under the summer sky. The BSMS is held at the corner of Railroad and Morningthorpe Avenues in Brewster (at the Southeast Veterans Park gazebo). There is ample parking nearby and the site is easily accessed via Metro North.

This Cultural Arts Coalition program is presented to the community at no charge with performances by local and regional professional musicians on seven consecutive Wednesday nights in June and July. Music starts at 6:30 and wraps up at 8:30 for all shows. New this year, food and ice cream trucks will be on site. Bring your lawn chairs and picnics, and enjoy these evenings under the summer sky with your neighbors and friends.
