Green Chimneys Receives donation from Hudson Gateway REALTOR® Foundation

The Hudson Gateway REALTOR® Foundation, the charitable arm of the Hudson Gateway Association of REALTORS®, recently presented a check for $2,500 to Green Chimneys in Brewster.

Founded in 1947 and headquartered on a farm and wildlife center, with a second campus in Carmel, Green Chimneys is recognized as a worldwide leader in animal-assisted therapy and educational activities for children with special needs.  Its services include an accredited special education school, residential treatment center, nature-based therapeutic programs, community-based support for youth and families, and public education and recreation opportunities for people of all ages.

“Green Chimneys is proud to be among the charities supported by The Hudson Gateway REALTOR® Foundation,” said Fund Development Director Kristin Dionne. “Moreover, we are pleased to have a caring partner in providing therapeutic education and services to the children and families we serve across the Hudson Valley region.”

Green Chimneys is one of 17 local Hudson Valley charities benefitting from The REALTOR® Foundation, which raised more than $30,000 at its September “Monte Carlo Night Gala” at Glen Island Harbour Club in New Rochelle.  Established in 2004 and relaunched in 2013, the Foundation has donated thousands of dollars to charities and non-profits throughout the Hudson Valley.   As concerned members of the communities we work in, the Hudson Gateway REALTOR® Foundation participates in qualified community-based charities who serve the housing, hunger, health, happiness, and humane needs of citizens everywhere.
