No Laughing Matter - Comedy Show Collected 51 Suits for Veterans

Last Saturday, January 14,  Farmer’s Insurance presented a “Suits for Soldiers” Comedy Show at the Schoolhouse Theater in Croton Falls, NY.  The show included comedic talent that entertained an enthusiastic audience who weathered a bit of snow to support a great cause.

Audience members received discounted admission for donating business attire for veterans. Too many veterans do not own the appropriate business attire to go to networking events, interviews or even to work. Farmers Insurance collected 51 suits at the show for our veterans so they transition into the civilian workforce.

Former Brewster Graduate, Tom Briscoe, headlined the event with hilarious stories of his cruise ship escapades and his life with his wife and two daughters.

Adam Oliensis talked about the mixed feelings he had about his daughter dating a comic while his wife stated, “Oh no, you can do much better than that.”  Sandwiched in between these to entertaining gentlemen, was Dave Cooperman with 5 kids including 2 sets of twins, he had plenty of comedic fodder to share.

Even emcee, Joe Grassi of Farmer’s Insurance got into the act. Farmer’s Insurance agents from all of the country are running similar events to support “Suits for Soldiers.”  If you missed this event and would like to contribute to this worthwhile cause, you can email Mr. Grassi at Joseph.Grassi@Farmersinsurance.com.
