Please help Brewster Fire Emergency Medical Services obtain Life Saving Equipment: Mechanical CPR Devices
We all know that research and technology have made some amazing improvements in healthcare and quality of life. Unfortunately, this technology can come at a cost. Mechanical CPR devices are a relatively new technology which aids EMS providers responding to patients in cardiac arrest.
Some benefits of Mechanical CPR Machines:
- Shown to increase Return of Spontaneous Circulation (ROSC) in the pre-hospital setting.
- Provides for consistent, uninterrupted, high quality CPR for as long as is needed.
- Frees up additional personnel to perform other tasks providing for more efficient care.
- Tremendous safety benefit eliminating the need for EMS providers to be standing unrestrained in moving ambulance.
Brewster Fire Department is a volunteer agency that provides basic life support for their community without billing individual patients for these services. While we have a dedicated group of EMS providers, money is tight. So please help us help our community!
We would like to raise enough funds to purchase two mechanical CPR devices, one for each ambulance. Should we exceed that goal (hey, it's good to be optimistic!), we are considering other emerging technologies and educational opportunities for our EMTs.
