American Songbook, A Stroll Down Memory Lane
Musical Direction by Melissa Jones
Produced by Amanda Bevacqua

Friday June 10 and Sat June 11 at 8:00 PM
The Studio Around the Corner, 67 Main Street in Brewster.

Take a stroll down memory lane with the cast of Brewster Theater Company’s spring cabaret, “The Great American Songbook”, which includes some of the most popular and enduring songs from the 1920s to the 1950s. Follow the fascinating evolution of American popular music through the songs of some of the greatest songwriters of all time, including Cole Porter, Rodgers & Hammerstein, George & Ira Gershwin and Johnny Mercer. Ageless and timeless in their appeal, songs such as “Night and Day”, “Embraceable You”, “Fly Me to the Moon” and “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy” are sure to get your toes tapping, bring a smile to your lips and maybe even a tear to your eyes, as we travel happily together down memory lane.
