Location Low-down #1: The Chapel Restoration

Originally built in 1883, The Chapel Restoration is a nondenominational chapel sitting right along the Hudson River. Remodeled in 1996, this national historic landmark now serves as the location for weddings and other private gatherings as well as a Sunday Music Series and Sunset Reading Series.

We'll be there on September 1st to kick off the festival weekend with a wine-tasting at 7 and a selection of short films at 8. We'd love to see you there!

Location Low-down #2: Bull & Barrel Brewery/Restaurant

A friendly local eatery located off of Route 22, Bull & Barrel opened a few years back and they've graciously hosted our Friday night 'Dinner and a Movie' for the past few festivals. They are known for brewing their own line of artisanal craft beer, hosting weekly line dancing classes and of course, having their own mechanical bull on the premises.

We're excited to visit them again on September 2nd for another fun night of food and films!

Location Low-down #3: Empire Cinemas

Empire Cinemas is a local Brewster, three screen, state-of-the-art cinema featuring first run movies. This year it will once again host our Saturday morning session which highlights friendly films submitted from around the world.

Location Low-down #4: Arts on the Lake

New to the VOB location list this year is Kent's own Arts on the Lake, a non-profit corporation that encourages the development of arts and music within the community. They provide art and music classes for all ages, sponsor a vibrant local theatre program and host regular exhibitions of visual art.

We're so excited to partner with them as they host one of our afternoon screening sessions on September 3rd! Keep an eye on our schedule for more details!

Location Low-down #5 SPACE on Ryder Farm

SPACE is a one-of-a-kind institution that hosts a variety of programs with a special focus on residencies for artists looking to get inspired. With programs designed for everyone from playwrights to companies on corporate retreats, SPACE provides a great environment to get away and focus on what is important.

Just like in years past, we will have our outdoor Short Film Fest at this beautiful location on Saturday night. So come on by September 3rd, and don't forget to bring a lawn chair!

Location Low-down #6: The Studio Around the Corner

The Studio Around the Corner is a non-profit cultural arts center run by the Town of Southeast Cultural Arts Coalition as a part of their ongoing mission to connect artists with affordable performance spaces in the Putnam County area.

It will be the site of our Sunday Flick Fest on September 4th where we will be screening both short films and feature films. Like previous years there will also be a panel of filmmakers where they will get the chance to discuss their films in more depth.
