Annual VOB Film Festival This Labor Day Weekend

This years VOB takes place from September 1st-4th, 2016. It will include both feature length films and short films. Don't delay - make your reservations. Some events do sell out as this annual event has gained much popularity in the last 5 years.

Thursday, September 1: Chapel Restoration

The festival opens in the Village of Cold Spring at the Chapel Restoration at 45 Market Street.
From 7-8 PM is a wine tasting followed by a selection of short films at 8PM
Admission is $20 and includes wine tasting and movies.
Fee includes a bottle of wine for you to take home!

Friday, September 2: Dinner and A Movie

 
Held at the Bull and Barrel Brew Pub at 988 Route 22 in Brewster from  6PM–10PM.

Enjoy a buffet-style dinner, meet some of the up-and-coming filmmakers and watch a few favorite short films of 2016. The highlight of the evening is the screening of the festival headliner, the independent feature film, "The Congressman" starring Treat Williams, Elizabeth Marvel and Ryan Merriman

Tickets are $50 per person, and reservations are a must. Tickets will sell out for this event!

Saturday, September 3rd:

  • Empire Cinemas on Rt22 in Brewster: Saturday Morning Animated Film Series 10-11:45 AM Cost $7
  • Arts On The Lake at 640 Route 52 in Kent Lakes (Carmel):1-4 PM Cost is $7 includes a panel at the end of the films for "Women in Film".

  • Ryder Farm at 406 Starr Ridge Rd., Brewster: Short Film Festival  6-10 PM FREE to attend. Food fresh from the farm will be available for purchase. In the event of rain, the films will be shown at 8PM in the barn at Ryder Farm. Food will be cancelled. Check our Facebook page for updates on weather related issues.

Sunday, September 4th: Sunday Film Festival

 
  • Studio Around The Corner at 67 Main Street in Brewster:  The VOB Film Festival will run all-day, back-to-back screening sessions. Each session will include a feature film and two shorts. Our selections represent a wide variety of styles and genres, and our talented filmmakers hail from all corners of the globe, including right here in Brewster and surrounding towns. Session 1 starts at 11AM and Session 2 starts at 1PM At 2:30pm, a discussion panel of VOBFF filmmakers will share insights into the production process. Session 3 - Foreign Films starts at 3:30PM. If you want a behind-the-scenes glimpse into some of this year's best films, you won't want to miss this!  Each screening session is $7.
  • Arts On The Lake at 640 Route 52 in Kent Lakes (Carmel): Session 1 at 12:45 - 2:45PM  and Session 2 at 3-5PM. Each screening session is $7. Tickets may be purchased at the door, but seating is limited, so please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early. Reservations are recommended.
