Babysitter's Training on March 18th Limited Enrollment

The Town of Southeast Recreation Department is pleased to sponsor Babysitter’s Training

This course gives adolescents the information and skills necessary to provide safe and responsible care for children in the absence of parents or guardians.

Participants will learn the responsibilities of the babysitter and develop important skills, including safety and safe play, basic childcare, first aid, professionalism and leadership. Lessons include how to handle an emergency, prevent accidents, play with children of different ages including toy selection and supervision, diaper and dress infants, and food and kitchen safety.

This course is ideal for new and experienced babysitters who are seeking to improve their ability to care for young children, as well as their credentials for job employment opportunities.

A course completion certificate will be issued at the conclusion of this course.

THIS PROGRAM IS FREE TO SOUTHEAST RESIDENTS –

LIMITED ENROLLMENT – FIRST 20 STUDENTS PER CLASS

This program is open to resident of Southeast and students enrolled in the BREWSTER CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT.
