Open Auditions for "You've Got Hate Mail" the Adult Comedy that will make you LOL

The Cultural Arts Coalition announces auditions for their production of You’ve Got Hate Mail by Billy Van Zandt and Jane Milmore. This production will be directed by Margaret Carey and produced by Judy Marano. Proceeds will help raise funds for the renovation Old Town Hall Theater in Brewster, NY.

A hilarious broadband comedy of errors, You've Got Hate Mail takes a hysterical look at the world of on-line hook-ups and break-ups. Love "bytes" when an extra-marital affair goes horribly wrong, thanks to a juicy e-mail sent to the wrong mailbox. The story is told entirely in e-mail from laptop computers, although the play still manages to have an unforgettable chase scene fueled by cell phones and PDAs.

The play consists of 3 female and 2 male characters between the ages of 20 – 50. Auditioning actors should have excellent comedic timing, energy, and script memorization skills. All roles are open. Please be aware: this show is for mature audiences only due to intense adult themes and strong language.

Please bring a picture and resume. You will be asked to perform a reading from the script. Sides will be provided at the auditions only. Visit their website at www.oththeater.org for more information including audition pre-registration, audition forms and character descriptions. Walk-in will be accepted.

The auditions will be held on Friday, February 17, from 7-9pm and Sunday, February 19, from 3-5pm with callbacks Tuesday, February 21, from 8-10pm. Auditions will take place at the Studio Around the Corner at 67 Main Street, Suite 101 in Brewster, NY. The entrance is located at the back of the building. There will be a total of three performances to be held on April 7 & 8, 2017
