The Day's Schedule:

3:30pm - Food, drink and farm tours
5:30pm - Sharing of work-in-progess by The Bengsons and Rachel Bond

Bring the kids to this comical-tragical, family-friendly production of So Please You! In celebration of Shakespeare's 400 year legacy, this family-friendly comedy tells the story of a servant named Dennis who appears only once in Shakespeare's As You Like It, to announce that, “so please you,” there is a wrestler at the door! Inspired by one moment of mischief, HVSF’s Conservatory Company has created a “tragical-comical, comical-tragical” tale of Dennis the servant, one of Shakespeare’s (almost) silent heroes. Rejoice in the classic art of clowning in this delightful comedy which will showcase text from many of your favorite Shakespeare plays, in an homage to the life and dreams of a struggling Shakespearean actor.

Married duo The Bengsons have appeared across the country and around the world at such venues as Joe’s Pub (NYC), NYU’s Skirball Center (NYC), MASS MoCA (North Adams, MA), On The Boards (Seattle), FlynnSpace (Burlington, VT), and the Market Theater (Johannesburg, South Africa).

Rachel Bonds’ plays have been developed or produced by South Coast Rep, McCarter Theatre, Atlantic Theater Company, Manhattan Theatre Club, Ars Nova, Roundabout Underground, Ensemble Studio Theatre, Actors Theatre of Louisville, Studio Theatre, New York Stage & Film and SPACE on Ryder Farm, among others.
